Angel Wing Heart

Self-Love.

To be honest, I struggle with this problem of loving myself but then I found this really interesting article online on how to start loving yourself.

Inner bonding is a powerful six-step self-healing process that offers a road map for learning to love yourself. Learning and practicing these six steps will gradually result in loving yourself rather than continuing to abandon yourself.
1. Be willing to feel pain and take responsibility for your feelings.

All feelings are informational, letting us know whether we're loving ourselves or abandoning ourselves, or if others are being loving or controlling.

Step one is mindfully following your breath to get present in your body, and compassionately embracing all feelings. It's about moving toward your feelings rather than away from them with various forms of self-abandonment, such as staying focused in your head, judging yourself, turning to addictions to numb out, or making someone else responsible for your feelings.

2. Move into the intent to learn.

In inner bonding, there are only two possible intentions in any given moment:

To protect against pain, avoiding responsibility for it, through various forms of addictive and controlling behavior. To learn about what you're doing or thinking that may be causing your pain — or what may be happening between you and another person or situation — so that you can move into taking loving action in your own behalf. Invite the loving presence of your higher self into your heart, and consciously open to learning about loving yourself.

3. Learn about your false beliefs.

Step three is a deep and compassionate process of exploration — of learning about your beliefs and behavior, and about what is happening with a person or situation that may be causing your pain.

Ask your feeling self — your inner child — "What am I thinking or doing that's causing the painful feelings of anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, jealousy, anger, loneliness or emptiness?" Allow the answer to come from inside — from your feelings.

Once you understand what you're thinking or doing that's causing these feelings, then you explore with your ego-wounded self to understand the fears and false beliefs leading to the self-abandoning thoughts and actions.

If you feel lonely, heartbroken, or helpless over someone, you ask yourself what is happening between you and another person that is causing these painful feelings.

4. Dialogue with your higher self.

It isn't as hard to connect with your higher guidance as you may think. The key is to be open to learning about loving yourself. The answers may come immediately or over time. They may come in words or images or in dreams. When your heart is open to learning, the answers will come.

5. Take the loving action learned in step four.

You've opened up to your pain, moved into learning, started a dialogue with your feelings, and tapped into your spiritual guidance. In step five, you take the loving action that, over time, heals the shame, anxiety and depression that have been the result of your self-abandonment.

Sometimes people think of "loving yourself" as a feeling you have to conjure up. A good way to look at loving yourself is by emphasizing the action, "What can I DO to love myself?" rather than "How can I FEEL love for myself?"

6. Evaluate your action.

Once you take the loving action, you check in to see if your pain, anger and shame are getting healed. If not, you go back through the steps until you discover the truth and loving actions that bring you peace, joy, and a deep sense of intrinsic worth.

Over time, you will discover that loving yourself improves everything in your life — your relationships, your health and well-being, your ability to manifest your dreams, and your self-esteem. Loving and connecting with yourself is the key to being able to love and connect with others and create loving relationships. Loving yourself is what enables you to raise your frequency and co-create with spirit. Loving yourself is the key to creating a passionate, fulfilled and joyful life.

Anime: Time to Cry.

I started watching anime when I was sixteen. My sister introduced them to me. We would watch some Studio Ghibli's classics, like 'My Neighbor Totoro', 'Spirited Away', 'Howl's Moving Castle' and my personal favorites 'Whisper of The Heart' and 'From Up on Poppy Hill'. Only later, I started getting into series. My first anime series was probably either 'Fruits Basket' or 'Death Note'. Which are two completely different genres. Anyway, I personally think the best kind of anime are the ones that would make you cry. Below are a few anime that have made me shed a tear or two. I highly recommend you to check them out!

AnoHana.

Genres: Drama, Slice of Life, Supernatural.
Episodes: 11.

Jinta Yadomi and his group of childhood friends have become estranged after a tragic accident split them apart. Now in their high school years, a sudden surprise forces each of them to confront their guilt over what happened that day and come to terms with the ghosts of their past.

My ratings: 8.5/10. Great story line, enjoyable characters and amazing soundtrack.

Barakamon.

Genres: Comedy, Slice of Life.
Episodes: 12.

As a punishment for punching a famous calligrapher, young handsome calligrapher Handa Seishu is exiled to a small island. As someone who has never lived outside of a city, Handa has to adapt to his new wacky neighbors, like people traveling on a tractor, unwanted visitors who never use the front door, annoying kids using his home as a playground, etc. Can this city guy handle all the crazy hardships? Find out in this wacky island comedy full of innocence and laughter!

My ratings: 8/10. It's very funny and easy to watch. Valuable moral values too.

Akame Ga Kill.

Genres: Action, Adventure, Fantasy.
Episodes: 24.

Night Raid is the covert assassination branch of the Revolutionary Army, an uprising assembled to overthrow Prime Minister Honest, whose avarice and greed for power has lead him to take take advantage of the child emperor's inexperience. Without a strong and benevolent leader, the rest of the nation is left to drown in poverty, strife, and ruin. Though the Night Raid members are all experienced killers, they understand that taking lives is far from commendable and that they will likely face retribution as they mercilessly eliminate anyone who stands in the revolution's way.

This merry band of assassins' newest member is Tatsumi, a naïve boy from a remote village who had embarked on a journey to help his impoverished hometown and was won over by not only Night Raid's ideals, but also their resolve. Akame ga Kill! follows Tatsumi as he fights the Empire and comes face-to-face with powerful weapons, enemy assassins, challenges to his own morals and values, and ultimately, what it truly means to be an assassin with a cause.

My ratings: 8/10. Despite of it being an action anime, it has it slow and precious moments. Great character development and amazing story line. (Warning: it does contain gore and blood.)

Code Geass. (Season 1 and 2)

Genres: Action, School, Sci-fi, Military.
Episodes: 25.

On August 10th of the year 2010 the Holy Empire of Britannia began a campaign of conquest, its sights set on Japan. Operations were completed in one month thanks to Britannia's deployment of new mobile humanoid armor vehicles dubbed Knightmare Frames. Japan's rights and identity were stripped away, the once proud nation now referred to as Area 11. Its citizens, Elevens, are forced to scratch out a living while the Britannian aristocracy lives comfortably within their settlements. Pockets of resistance appear throughout Area 11, working towards independence for Japan.

Through a chance meeting with a mysterious girl named C.C., Lelouch gains his Geass, the power of the king. Now endowed with absolute dominance over any person, Lelouch may finally realize his goal of bringing down Britannia from within!

My ratings: 9.5/10. This is hands down the best anime I've ever seen. The intense story build up and amazing character development every episode makes it hard for me to stop watching it. Not to mention, the plot twist at the end of Season 2. (Warning: it does contain gore and blood.)

Say I Love You!

Genres: Romance, School, Shoujo.
Episodes: 13.

Friends suck, and trusting someone is just setting yourself up. That's the lesson Mei Tachibana learned after her heart was ripped out and only a shell was left where a girl used to be. But unlike so many, she found an easy solution: she'll never make another friend. Ever.

Okay, maybe that's not as easy as it sounds, but it's worked for Mei - or at least, it did until handsome, charming and annoyingly popular Yamato Kurosawa came along. For some freakish reason, he seems to like Mei. He even gave her his phone number! As if she would ever call him. Except she did. But only because she needed help. Still, he came. He actually came. And now things are getting way too complicated.

Mei's no princess in a tower. She's not waiting for a knight in shining armor to rescue her. So why did he have to kiss her and confuse everything? And why are those three little words so hard to say?

My ratings: 7.5/10. In my opinion, it's just like any typical shoujo anime but what makes it really enjoyable for me is that I could relate to the main character, Mei, in some aspects. Plus, the guy is handsome and it made me cry at 3 in the morning.

White Album 2.

Genres: Drama, Music, Romance, Slice of Life.
Episodes: 13.

Fall, when graduation is only half a year away.

Haruki Kitahara, the final member of the light music club that dissolved, plays his guitar by the window after school in preparation for the school festival. It was the one and only adventure of a good student who spent two diligent years on his studies.

But when a flowing piano melody and a voice as a clear as bell harmonize with his guitar… He goes from being alone, to being two, then three in the light music club, as the semester he dreamed of, no, hoped for, began.

My ratings: 7.5/10. This anime is about a love triangle between two girls and a guy, who are in a band together. Sounds complicated, right? Well, it is but I enjoyed it very much.

My review:

To me, this is not your ordinary team play shooter game. You need to constantly adapt to the changes of strategies every rounds and still be able to wipe out the other team. As a beginner, I recommend you to understand the mechanics of the game, for example, getting used to the guns (recoil patterns), maps and the usual spots people camp etc. Besides that, please don't jump straight into Competitive! Start by playing Casual, Demolition, Arms Race or even Deathmatch. Safer and easier for newbies.

I'm most likely going to talk a lot about Competitive (purely because I love it). So, this game mode is a ranked match. There's a whole rank system involved in this. When you first start the game, you have no rank at all. To get a rank you must win 10 competitive matches, although for every 2 wins you'll get a 21 hours cooldown. (This was recently implemented to avoid hackers and smurfs.) After winning 10 matches, you'll get assigned to a proper "rank class" which suits you best.

Smurfs: High rank players with alt accounts playing against Lower rank players.

If you get into Silver, don't feel bad. It's normal for beginners to get into Silvers. Now, to rank up there's no definite way for it. Some people say it depends on the wins:losses rate, while others think it depends on your position on the scoreboard and the amount of MVPs you get. For me, I could say I was lucky. After winning 10 matches, I was assigned to Silver Elite Master (SEM). Later that day, I won a match and was promoted to Gold Nova 1 (and I kept ranking up that whole week).

Here are a few things you should have when playing Competitive: a headset, a microphone (it's faster to talk when calling out than typing) and a team of friends. I personally think it's best to have a team to queue with because you know them, you know their skills and capabilities, plus it's easier to communicate. When I started playing, I had no friends to queue with so I had to solo-queue a lot. Solo-queueing is so bad because sometimes you'll get bad teammates, trolls and AFKs. To avoid this, add people along the way. This worked for me very well.

Last but not least, remember to always be positive throughout the game even if you're losing. Don't be that one salty player and throw the game. (Everyone will hate you for that!!) Also, keep on practicing and have fun.

The Future.

The word itself gives me shivers.

Being a young adult means that you should know what your ambition is and your goals in life. Unfortunately, I have failed figuring out those two things. Ever since I was a kid I had no idea what I wanted to be. All the things that I’ve said to my teachers and friends were a lie. I simply said them because I wanted to pretend as if I had my life plans sorted, when in reality I haven’t.

All I’ve been telling myself is that, “I’ll just go where life leads me”. And honestly, the road I’m in is pretty decent. Although it might be coming to an end. It’s finally the time for me to actually think things through and make a decision. Unless, I want to end up living in an alley and ask for money from strangers passing by (which I don’t want).

Basically, what people have been telling me is to do research online. Like find out about different courses from multiple Universities/Colleges. Sounds easy right? Not for me though. Considering that I have no clue what my ambition is and talents/interests are (excluding video games). I personally think that I don’t have a particular talent? or anything amazing that would help me make money or make me look more appealing compared to everyone else.

I think I’m screwed. I’ll most likely graduate from University next year and I’m still clueless. I was thinking of doing a gap year but it seems like a really bad idea though. But then again, I don’t want to be forced to choose a course (or path) that would make me unhappy and stressful. The whole point of deciding and planning your future is purely based on your interests and whether it makes you happy or not, right? I don’t see the point in pursuing something that doesn’t benefit you at all.

Then again this is what I think/feel.
IT’S NOT LIKE LIFE WOULD LISTEN TO ME.

p/s: Dear future, please be nice to me.

Review: Payday 2.

About this game:
PAYDAY 2 is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that once again lets gamers don the masks of the original PAYDAY crew - Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains - as they descend on Washington DC for an epic crime spree.

The new CRIMENET network offers a huge range of dynamic contracts, and players are free to choose anything from small-time convenience store hits or kidnappings, to big league cyber-crime or emptying out major bank vaults for that epic PAYDAY. While in DC, why not participate in the local community, and run a few political errands?

Up to four friends co-operate on the hits, and as the crew progresses the jobs become bigger, better and more rewarding. Along with earning more money and becoming a legendary criminal comes a new character customization and crafting system that lets crews build and customize their own guns and gear.

My review:

Main Menu

This game is a first person shooter (FPS) game, which is my favourite kind of video game. It costs you $19.99 excluding all of the downloadable contents (DLC), which sadly needs to be bought separately. Currently, there are about 22 DLCs that can be bought with the latest one being ‘The Alesso Heist’. Also, you get to collect 324 achievements!

I recommend you to find a group of friends to play this game with, maybe about 2-3 friends. This is a team play based game, without constant communication with one another it won’t be fun for anyone. Moving on, you start on Level 0 and you’ll level up each time you complete a heist. Note: This depends on how many experience (EXP) that you’ll gain after every heist, each heist is different. The harder it is, the more EXP and money you’ll get. You get to choose to play on Normal, Hard, Very Hard, Overkill or Death Wish.

Inventory

This is how your inventory looks like. You can purchase guns ranging from pistols to sniper rifles as your primary or secondary weapon. Besides that, melees and equipments like grenades/pipe bombs/molotoves are handy too.

Skills

Perk Decks

Along the way, you can unlock new skills and perk decks to help you in game. My personal favourite would be the Mastermind + Fugitive + Grinder perk combo.
Here are some of my perk decks + skills; Grinder PerkStealth Build.
In my opinion, this games really sucks out all the energy in you. You have to constantly think of a strategy in order to survive the heist. Other than that, majority of the heists are fun to play and amazing. Also, you get cool masks to wear.
